“Isfahan School of Art” exhibit opens in The Hague

TEHRAN -- The exhibition “Isfahan School of Art”, displaying a dazzling array of Persian traditional art, was inaugurated Monday at Iran’s art gallery in The Hague, Netherlands.

A group of Iranian officials that included Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamid Shahabadi, Isfahan Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance director Alireza Hosseinipajuh, and Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) director Mahmud Shaluii took part in the opening ceremony
Shahabadi talked about the rich art and culture of Iran and regarded the language of art the best way to introduce Persian culture to the world, the Persian service of IRNA reported.
Shaluii expressed thanks to the Iranian embassy in the Netherlands as organizer of the exhibit.
A collection of miniature works, enamellings, traditional jewelries and qalamkar artworks, plain-woven cotton cloths hand-printed with figured patterns, are on display at the exhibit.
